Hammond Communications Group (HCG), a full-service multimedia production company, has renewed an agreement to provide crucial media support services for the Breeders' Cup World Championships, Thoroughbred racing's most prestigious global racing event. The Breeders' Cup World Championships consists of 15 races held over two-days with $26 million in purses at stake. The Breeders' Cup World Championships attracts the best horses, trainers, and owners from across the globe. The multi-year agreement includes this year's event to be held on November 2-3 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California, and the Breeders' Cup World Championships in 2013 to be held at an as yet unannounced location.
HCG has produced the Breeders' Cup World Championships newsfeed since 2009 and will utilize several key personnel to manage and produce the 2012 newsfeed which will be transmitted via satellite to news agencies worldwide.
Peter Rotondo, Vice President of Media and Entertainment for Breeders' Cup commented, “Hammond Communications Group has worked with Breeders' Cup in one capacity or another for more than 24 years—since the 1988 event at Churchill Downs. Hammond has been one of our longest standing vendors and we consider them definitely more of a partner and collaborator than anything else.”
Jesse B. Kelsey, Vice President of Production for HCG noted, “We consider the Breeders' Cup a foundation client and part of the DNA of Hammond Communications Group. This will make at least our tenth Breeders' Cup World Championships newsfeed production and we're excited to be going back to California for the 2012 Breeders' Cup World Championships.”
