South Florida SPCA is an admirable equine charity which has done superb work in a tough area covering Broward and Dade counties saving and rehabilitating horses. If nothing has changed recently, they are all volunteers. They also take in many horses seized by law enforcement and were behind the passing of the law which prohibits the most barbaric kind of slaughter imaginable by certain local human debris and their selling horsemeat and other meats on the black market.
