Godolphin has launched an exciting new program in the horse racing industry for Emiratis.

Masar Godolphin is an academic and experiential scholarship operating under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which will provide UAE nationals with a unique and unrivalled opportunity to embrace their equestrian heritage with the aim of becoming the business leaders of the future.

Places on this prestigious program will be offered to eight outstanding and ambitious young Emirati men and women aged between 23 and 30, who demonstrate a genuine passion for equestrianism, and who have the ambition and commitment to develop both personally and professionally.

Speaking at the launch, John Ferguson, Chief Executive and Racing Manager for Godolphin, said: “Over the last twenty years, Sheikh Mohammed has led Godolphin's development with incredible success across the globe. Godolphin's home is Dubai – and as the city has grown, the passion for horses has grown with it. Now is the perfect time to create an opportunity for young UAE nationals to immerse themselves in the world of thoroughbred horse breeding and racing, and perhaps one day, help contribute to the success of Godolphin, Dubai's home team”.

Ali Al Ali, Head of Masar Godolphin, said: “Godolphin has always been Dubai's Home Team, and as an Emirati I could not be prouder than to help launch and manage Masar Godolphin. The love of horses is in the DNA of Dubai and the same pioneering spirit that you see in modern Dubai is felt in Godolphin, constantly looking forward, relentlessly innovating. This is an extremely exciting time to be involved in thoroughbred horse breeding and racing and thanks to the on-going support and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, we are privileged to be able to extend this opportunity to the next generation of Emiratis”.
