For over a decade, Satish Sanan was heavily involved in horse racing, campaigning such standouts as champion Vindication and Grade 1 winners Cash Run and Yes It's True while also being a board member of the Breeders' Cup.
Now, however, Sanan devotes most of his time to his new medical startup, Inspirata Inc.
In a recent interview with the Tampa Bay Times, Sanan discussed Inspirata Inc., a company that hopes to 'revolutionize digital pathology' by creating digital images of cancer cells, which will make it easier for doctors to diagnose and treat patients.
Long term goals include building a cancer database and creating a “predictive algorithm” to forecast how future cancers will develop.
The company, which is based in Tampa, recently announced that it will be adding 70 jobs to its operation, which currently employs 30.
“This will be my legacy,” Sanan said.
