Congressmen Andy Barr and Paul Tonko, the co-chairmen of the Congressional Horse Caucus, will hold a hearing next Thursday, April 28, to discuss a path forward for the Thoroughbred Horseracing Integrity Act of 2015. The meeting will be held in Washington, D.C.
Barr and Tonko will meet with fellow Caucus members and several leaders of the racing industry, including Breeders' Cup President & CEO Craig Fravel, trainer Michael Dickinson, racehorse owner/celebrity chef, Bobby Flay, and Joe De Francis, former CEO of the Maryland Jockey Club.
The hearing, entitled, “Integrity in Horse Racing, Strategies to Eliminate Doping in the Sport of Kings,” will address the Thoroughbred Horseracing Integrity Act of 2015 (H.R. 3084) and other issues.
