Bob Evans, chairman and chief executive officer of Churchill Downs, Inc., released a prepared statement that described elements of what 'The Mansion' will be like at Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby in 2013, reports the Courier-Journal. It will be like a “fabulous southern mansion” with a library, sitting room, dining room, private bar, balcony, private entrance and elevator. This will be coupled with “the most compelling view of the entire Churchill Downs racetrack.”
The Courier-Journal says “the view is similar in description to the sixth-floor media center, although Churchill officials wouldn't elaborate on The Mansion location or any other specifics.”
Private invitations to The Mansion were delivered at the 2012 Oaks and Derby.
