Monmouth Park has raised all non-stakes purses on Haskell Day by 20%. With 14 races expected on the July 28th program, including the addition of the Grade 2 Monmouth Cup to the card, Haskell Day will once again prove the richest day of Thoroughbred racing in the Garden State.
“This increase, coupled with the five graded stakes races already on the card, should make Haskell Day one of the most competitive and memorable in recent years,” said Mike Dempsey, racing secretary at Monmouth Park.
In addition to the purse increases, Monmouth Park has also increased its guaranteed purse payout for all runners on Haskell Day. Non-stakes participants will be guaranteed $1,500, while all stakes runners will be guaranteed a minimum of $4,000 for starting.
Select reserved seats for Haskell Day are still available and can be purchased on-line at www.monmouthpark.com, by or calling 732-571-5580 or visiting the reserved seat ticket booth on the second floor of the Grandstand on Saturdays and Sundays. Reserved seats range in price from $10 to $17.
Gates open on July 28 at 10:30 a.m., with the first race set for 12 noon.
