CALIFORNIA ANTI-GAMING GROUP GETTING INVOLVED IN EXCHANGE WAGERING DEBATE

As with any expanded gaming measure, potential exchange wagering in California has drawn the ire of a religiously-based anti-gaming group. In this instance, the California Coalition Against Gambling Expansion has stepped in, promising to send mailers to nearly 10,000 churches and individuals in the next few days asking the recipients to call or write the governor. They are hoping to persuade Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to veto the bill that is currently awaiting his signature.
