Breeders' Cup Ltd. has hired G4S Secure Solutions as part of a new model for equine security, according to the Racing Form. The Thoroughbred Racing and Protective Bureau (TRPB), which has provided security services for Breeders' Cup since 2005, has been notified that their services will not be needed for the two-day World Championship event at Churchill Downs on Nov. 4 and 5.

G4S Secure Solutions will work with the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission and independent contractors from the TRPB's “big-event team” to provide security operations under the direction of the commission and Breeders' Cup, according to Breeders' Cup spokesman Jim Gluckson.

“We felt after running into a few issues with duties and communications last year that a better way to handle equine security for 180 entrants was to create a new model,” Gluckson said.
