The Thoroughbred yearling sales will be in full swing over the next two evenings with the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale that will be held Aug. 6-7. The Paulick Report is back once again with a special print publication that will be available at the sale.

In this issue, Ray Paulick interviews Sasha Sanan, general and racing manager for Padua Stables. Frank Mitchell turns the stallion spotlight on Bernardini, and spotlights five yearlings to watch at the sale. And we ask industry leaders, what has been the impact on the Thoroughbred industry in light of New York's recent increase in purses?

A Street Cry colt just sold for $1.2 million….Bingo!

The sale is rolling right along so far….huge numbers and the horses are all selling.Great start to the yearling sales schedule that is showing how much the industry and the economy are on a major rebound.

  • Watcher

ITP, the numbers are way DOWN.  And RNA’s appear to be UP from last year.  Looks to me like too many consignors set unrealistic reserves….or else there just wasn’t enough money at play.

  • ITP

RNA’s up is good….It means consignors/breeders are doing good financially and are holding firm in what believe their horses are worth.

The sale was just getting heated up as both million$ horses sold late…look for a giant day tomorrow.

    Things are picking up!
