The competition is heating up as we head into week 3 of the Breeders' Cup's Fantasy ‘Capping Challenge. Each week, players try to select the winner of one of the key races leading up to the Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita Park in November. Saturday, it's the Alabama Stakes at Saratoga, a race for top 3-year-old fillies. Learn more about the game and find out Chris's pick in this week's edition of Fantasy ‘Capping with Chris!

  • Thanks Chris for your thoughts on the Alabama Stakes. I’m going with Questing, as my pick. I picked the winner last week & I hope I’m right again this week !!

Hey Chris. What happened to your monster. I am the Horseman from the fantasy capping game. I am in first place. And I hit everything this week except the tri. Win Place Show and the exacter. No Grace Hall in my tickets. Remember that the Spa is known as the favorite killer. If you play the fav’s at the spa you will lose, 90 % of the time.

Nothing like kicking a dog when he’s down, huh Lance! Chris is licking his wounds. With a half-mile to run in yesterday’s Alabama he said, “Grace Hall is in big trouble.” Congrats on your success so far in Fantasy ‘Capping.

Congratulations on the win, MBR. The monster in the Alabama was Questing for sure.

  • Thanks, Ray! I’m looking forward to the Travers Stakes on Saturday. I don’t have a favorite picked out yet….I’m still reviewing their past performances.

  • Chris, what do you think about Nonios in the Travers ?? Do you think he can get the distance ? I see where he has come in second (2) times @ 1 1/8, wherein Alpha has only (1) win @ 1 1/8 & came in 12th @ 1 1/4…..but so far, everyone seems to like Alpha. Very interesting…..
