Fantasy ‘Capping with Chris: Pennsylvania Derby

The Breeders' Cup Fantasy ‘Capping Challenge isn't for the meek.

The competition, in which players try to select the winner of a major horse race each week, has been tough sledding through the first seven weeks for many players, including Chris. Sometimes, you gotta shake things up, and this week, a mystery guest steps in for Chris and tries to get him back on track by picking the winner of the Grade 2 Pennsylvania Derby, a key race for 3-year-olds leading up to this year's Breeders' Cup World Championships at Santa Anita Park. This is a fun contest. As a play against to Alpha, I kind of like Stephanoatsee. He is going to have to step it up, but I hope he runs a big one. We all remember breakout performances of future stars (e.g., did anyone have I’ll Have Another at 43-1 in the G2 Robert B. Lewis back in February?), and I hope that Stephanoatsee makes his name widely known tomorrow. As a Shackleford fan, I cannot help but root for his half-brother. In this modern era of technology, maybe they can text each other in the morning about strategy.
