Longtime NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager died Thursday after a long battle with cancer. He was 65.
Sager, who worked for many years for Turner Sports, was beloved by players, coaches and fans. He was known not only for his extensive knowledge of the game, but also for his very extensive – and colorful – wardrobe.
In June 2015, Bleacher Report published a column written by Sager, which had nothing to do with basketball. Instead, Sager shared his tale of 1977 Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew's Belmont Stakes.
