Top New York trainer David Jacobson has transferred his horses there and will shift his focus to Southern California, according to a report by the Daily Racing Form.
Jacobson has switched roughly 15 to 20 New York runners to trainer Gary Gullo, including several he owns. Jacobson also has a Southern California string and told the Form‘s David Grening he was looking forward to reducing his frequent travel from coast to coast. Jacobson also looks forward to spending more time with his twin grandsons, who are in California.
Jacobson set a NYRA record in 2013 with 164 wins, but only had three winners from 35 runners at Belmont's spring meet.
