While John Pricci believes that Breeders' Cup founder John Gaines would not be happy with the expansion of the championship series, he also argues it's a good thing ultimately for the sport and the event.
“Last week, a 15th race was added, the Juvenile Sprint for two-year-olds at six furlongs,” said Pricci. “Considering how important juvenile racing is in this country compared to the rest of the world, it makes sense, especially a sprint race.”
