Jockey Flavien Prat will get a leg up on World Approval for the Grade 1 Frank Kilroe Mile, trainer Mark Casse told drf.com. The Breeders' Cup Mile winner was piloted by John Velazquez to win the Tampa Bay Stakes on Feb. 10, and will make the trip west for the Santa Anita feature scheduled for March 10.
Also expected to appear in the Kilroe is Om, whom Prat piloted to victory in the G3 Thunder Road Stakes. Om will be ridden by Mike Smith in the Kilroe, according to trainer Dan Hendricks.
“I've won a lot of big races with Mike,” Hendricks said.
