A spill in the fourth race at Parx Sunday sent jockey Richard Bracho to Philadelphia's Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he remains as of Tuesday afternoon.
According to drf.com, agent Evan Lauro reported that the 48-year-old Bracho suffered a fractured C-4 vertebrae as well as injuries to his back and bleeding on the brain.
Cinnamon Latte, the first-time starter Bracho was riding when he was injured, was traveling near the rear of the field when the 3-year-old filly fell. Lauro said that the Silvio Martin trainee was not seriously injured.
