Noted Equine Photographer Joy Gilbert Dies

Well-known equine photographer Joy Gilbert died Monday, Feb. 3, following a lengthy illness. She was 54.

Gilbert, who lived in Lexington, Ky., photographed horses at many of the major Thoroughbred farms in the area, including Juddmonte, Lane's End, and Darley, according to the Blood-Horse.

Funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home in Lexington. Visitation will be held from 12:30-2:30 p.m. prior to the service.
