Jockey Kevin Krigger was released from the hospital Friday evening following a harrowing spill at Santa Anita Friday afternoon when his mount clipped heels with another competitor. Krigger was briefly unconscious at the track and underwent a MRI as a precaution before his release. He's expected to return to regular mounts Monday, and hoped to be working horses Sunday morning.

“It was a good day until that incident,” said fellow jockey Garret Gomez. “Any minor adjustment and that stuff can happen. People don't understand how tight it is out there.”

    Good news.

So glad he is okay.  Thank you for following up on his story.  He has ridden up here in NW and always like to hear about the jocks that go south to ride.

This is good news! Kevin is a nice lad and always has his smile on. :)

Good luck to him.  He’s been riding more lately, and looked happy on Thursday of this past week when we saw him the same day Ebby raced (and WON!).
