Karamanos Rides 2,000th Winner On Father’s Day At Laurel

The 44-year-old Horacio Karamanos rode his 2,000th career winner to celebrate Father's Day at Laurel Park on Sunday. A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Karamanos' nickname is “Special K.”

From over 12,600 mounts, Karamanos has earned over $50 million over the course of his career, and also earned more than 1,500 wins in his native country.

He also earned riding titles at Colonial Downs in 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2008.
