Paul Reddam has been on a roller coaster ride in 2012 from I'll Have Another's rise and fall to a surprise win in the Pennsylvania Derby. This prompted the man to put multiple horses in the Breeders' Cup just to see what would happen. However, he did draw the line at supplementing his filly Wittgenstein into the event due to the large fee. But that didn't take away Reddam's idea of throwing something at the wall to see if it would stick.
“This I will guarantee,” Reddam told the Daily Racing Form after Know More finished 13th in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf. “We've got a bunch more like this going the rest of the day, and one of them will hit the board. I couldn't tell you which one, but one of them will.”
He's Had Enough proved Reddam right by finishing second to Shanghai Bobby in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile but he isn't putting all his eggs in that basket for the Kentucky Derby.
“I could say I really like the horse we have,” Reddam said. “He's mentally immature and I think he's going to get better – going in the right direction and all that. But would I tell people to buy your Derby seat right now to see He's Had Enough go there and win? No I would not – unless it was available at a deep discount.”
