Some trainers will do anything to have a Derby contender in their barn. David Hofmans is apparently not one of them.

After expressing discontent regarding the decision to run J P's Gusto in the Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn instead of his prefered San Vicente Stakes, trainer David Hofmans has initiated the transfer of two John Waken horses away from his barn. “I felt there was too much interference from a third party,” Hofmans said.
