The pants that Stevens will wear in the race will be framed and auctioned online for the Bill Hartack Charitable Foundation.
“HANSBO SPORT is very excited to continue our work with some of the world's leading riders. Interestingly, HANSBO and Gary Stevens are having a reunion of sorts, having both provided their services to The Queen during the 1990's. A brilliant horseman, Gary is among an incredible group of Olympians, World Cup Finalists and National Champions who believe in the healing technology that HANSBO SPORT provides.” Said a HANSBO SPORT representative.
“The opportunity to be able to give back to a charity like the Bill Hartack Charitable Foundation made this deal with Gary particularly important. We strongly believe in focusing our marketing efforts on supporting events and causes that contribute positively to the people and horses that make up the horse sport community.”
“At 54, after a knee and hip replacement, I've tried every new therapeutic product out there. Ceramic and magnetic products definitely help to reduce inflammation and help me sleep better with sore muscles.” Added Gary Stevens. “The same effects appear to be felt by horses, and I've felt the difference underneath me in the mornings after horses have started using the blankets. HANSBO SPORT is great quality and I can't wait for their human line to come out. ”
Stevens and HANSBO SPORT have success and longevity in common. Both have been at the top of their craft for four decades, A three time winner of all three of America's Triple Crown races, Stevens has won over 5,000 races including multiple Breeders' Cup races. Enshrined in the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame in 1997, he has won every major achievement for an American jockey. Swedish entrepreneurs, and horse lovers Hans and Bo founded HANSBO SPORT in 1997, creating the first, breathable waterproof rug outdoor rug for horses. Their company went on to produce rugs for the show jumping teams of Sweden, Finland and the UK, while The Queen also sought HANSBO RUGS for her horses at Buckingham Palace.
Hansbo Sport ICM products are infused with ceramic and magnetic materials. The wraps, rugs, boots, and saddle pads work by generating their own heat, giving the horse a greater feeling of well being and helping to prevent injuries.
