President of Donegal Racing Jerry Crawford was seen in the Belmont Park paddock on Sunday, doling out $2 win tickets on his horse Ballagh Rocks to young kids hanging out on the rail just prior to the running of the G3 Poker Stakes. Ballagh Rocks went on to score a hard-running victory by holding off the favorite through the stretch, and Donegal's Twitter account responded to a fan, hockey's Chris Tatti, who'd noted the win ticket exchange:
The kids' good karma was the best Father's Day gift Donegal President Jerry Crawford could ask for! https://t.co/cwoM9wiY2q

According to Teresa Genaro, the act of handing out $2 win tickets to young future racing fans is a regular one for Crawford. She recalled a televised interview in which Crawford called the kids the “future of the sport.”
