Oaklawn Park will be home to Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens and his family this winter, reports drf.com. Stevens plans to ride the opening day card at Santa Anita Park, then ship down to Arkansas.
“I'm riding here at Santa Anita opening day,” he said. “I've got three major stakes races to ride in, so I plan to ride them and be on my way. I want to be there by Dec. 31st or Jan. 1st, depending on weather.”
Stevens plans to arrive by Jan. 2, and will be represented by Jay Fedor.
