Jockey Chris Emigh, who was hospitalized over the weekend following a spill at Arlington Park, was released from Northwest Community Hospital on Monday. The Daily Racing Form reported that Emigh suffered a concussion, a broken toe, and a broken thumb.
The rider could be back to riding in three weeks, assuming his recovery goes well.
Emigh fell during the second race July 9 when his mount went through the inner rail on the turf course and lay immobile on the course for several minutes, but was reportedly alert and responsive when loaded into the ambulance on track.
