For over a decade, trainer Todd Pletcher has been a regular sight at the Kentucky Derby; only once, in 2003, did he not have at least one horse entered.
Many times, Pletcher has run multiple horses in the 10-furlong classic, and he has one winner of the race during that time. It is mainly due to that reason that Pletcher has drawn a fair amount of detractors.
In a new post for the Twinspires.com blog, Ed DeRosa has crunched some numbers, and has found that Pletcher's statistics aren't as bad as many people like to to think.
