Jockeys Flavien Prat and Abel Cedillo ended the recent Santa Anita Park meet with the same number of victories, resulting in a tie for the meet's riding title.
New to the circuit from Northern California, Cedillo earned his first Southern California title with 21 wins from 121 starts. Prat, a leading rider in the region for several years, had 21 wins from 102 starts. Both jockeys are expected to ride at the upcoming Bing Crosby Season at Del Mar.
Meanwhile, trainer Doug O'Neill clearly topped the trainer standings by wins at Santa Anita with 22 from 85 starts. Richard Baltas and Phil D'Amato both had 12 wins from 62 and 51 starts respectively.
Chad Brown had the most earnings during the meet with more than $4.3 million but all that money came Brown's three Breeders' Cup winners — Bricks and Mortar, Uni and Structor. Otherwise, Bob Baffert had the most during the Santa Anita fall meet with nearly $2.1 million.
