Apprentice jockey Cristian Torres, a former exercise rider for Mark Casse, won four races on Saturday's 12-race program at Gulfstream Park.
Torres, currently second in the summer meet jockey standings behind Edgard Zayas, won the second race aboard Frank Alone ($15.80), the fifth on favored Chiseled ($3.80), the seventh on Flashing Diamond ($5), and dead-heated for the win in the ninth aboard Opportunist ($4).
Torrez, a native of Puerto Rico, went to high school in Orlando before returning to Puerto Rico to learn to become an exercise rider. He worked for Casse in Florida, New York and Kentucky. Torres is represented by agent Kevin Meyocks.
