Following Saturday's victory in the $150,000 Belmont Turf Sprint Invitational, Patricia Generazio has elected to supplement her homebred Disco Partner to the Breeders' Cup. According to trainer Christophe Clement's Twitter feed, the 5-year-old son of Disco Rico will head to the Del Mar championships with regular jockey Irad Ortiz.

On June 10 at Belmont Park, Disco Partner ran to a world record time in the six furlong G3 Jaipur Stakes, racing over the firm turf in 1:05.67 to a half-length victory. The intact horse returned in July to win the listed Forbidden Apple Stakes at Belmont, then finished fourth when stepped up to Grade 1 company in the Fourstardave.

Disco Partner's final time on Saturday of 1:06.97 for six furlongs was a tenth of a second off the track record on Belmont's inner turf course; his world record was accomplished on the outer turf.

This year's Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint will be held at five furlongs over the Del Mar lawn.
