QIPCO Champion Stakes victress Magical is likely to make the trip to Southern California for this year's Breeders' Cup World Championships, trainer Aidan O'Brien told racingpost.com. Magical was the runner-up in last year's thrilling edition of the Turf behind top-class Enable.
“Magical will be entered in the Turf, along with Anthony Van Dyck, but she is more likely to run in the Filly & Mare Turf in which Fleeting, who didn't have the clearest of runs at Ascot on Saturday, is also an intended runner,” O'Brien said. “Circus Maximus is an intended runner in the Mile. We've been happy with him since his win at Longchamp.”
The Coolmore trainer's list of expected entrants currently includes:
- Turf: Anthony Van Dyck, Magical
- Filly & Mare Turf: Magical, Fleeting
- Mile: Circus Maximus
- Juvenile Turf: Arizona, Wichita, Royal Dornoch
- Juvenile Fillies Turf: Tango
- Turf Sprint: Fairyland
