The morning after My Miss Aurelia's impressive win in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at Churchill Downs, trainer Steve Asmussen said she would spend the winter at Santa Anita. The owners, a partnership of Stonestreet Stables and George Bolton, are based in California.
In an extraordinary 2-year-old season, My Miss Aurelia added the Juvenile Fillies to victories in the Grade 2 Adirondack at Saratoga and the Grade 2 Frizette at Belmont. She will undoubtedly be named 2-year-old Champion Filly, writes David Grening for Daily Racing Form.
During a 3-year-old campaign in California, My Miss Aurelia is likely to face Weemissfrankie, the multiple Grade 1 winner who finished third in the Juvenile Fillies.
