Winner of the Breeders' Cup Turf over Beach Patrol, Godolphin Stable's Talismanic could make his next start in Hong Kong. Trainer Andre Fabre told At The Races that the 4-year-old son of Medaglia d'Oro prefers to chase a faster early pace, more in line with the American style of racing.
“The French style of racing does not suit him, he prefers a faster pace and then he can finish strongly,” Fabre said. “At Saint-Cloud when he won his Group Two, he got the strong pace and that was his best performance.
“Hong Kong is a good option for him, but we need to see how he is when he comes home,” Fabre concluded.
The Breeders' Cup was Talismanic's first top-level victory, and his sixth lifetime win from 16 starts. The colt has earned just over $2.6 million.
