Champion Monomoy Girl has yet to make it to the races in 2019, but trainer Brad Cox told drf.com that the 4-year-old daughter of Tapizar is about three works away from her seasonal debut. The goal is still for the filly to start in the Breeders' Cup Distaff in early November at Santa Anita Park, Cox said.

Possibilities for her first start of the year include the G1 Zenyatta on Sept. 29 at Santa Anita, or staying close to home and running against males in the Ack Ack or Lukas Classic at Churchill Downs on Sept. 28.

“Whatever spot makes the most sense to get her to the Breeders' Cup, that's what we'll do,” he said. “I'm not worried about a Win and You're In with her. I just want to get the right race for bringing her back.”
