Brazilian Triple Crown winner and multiple G1 winner Bal a Bali has been taken out of consideration for the Breeders' Cup Mile and will be retired to stud at Calumet Farm.
In an interview Friday morning with TVG's Britney Eurton, trainer Richard Mandella said that the 7-year-old horse by Put It Back “wasn't quite to the level he needs to be” for the race, and the decision was made to call time on the horse's career.
