Flotilla and Mshawish, both contenders for this year's Breeders' Cup Mile, are unlikely to ship to California, according to a report by the Daily Racing Form.
Flotilla was scheduled to make the journey from France on Saturday, but trainer Mikel Delzangles said she had developed a foot bruise that was unlikely to improve quickly enough that the filly could prepare properly for the race.
Officials also announced on Thursday that Mshawish is not likely to make the journey from Europe to start in the Mile. He was seventh in his most recent start in the Group 2 Prix Daniel Wildenstein at Longchamp earlier this month.
