Trainer Graham Motion, reticent to try Aruna on the dirt in a race for the first time, decided Friday to run her in the Filly and Mare Turf rather than the Ladies' Classic, according to Jay Privman in Daily Racing Form.
Consequently, trainer Kiaran McLaughlin has named Ramon Dominguez – who would have ridden Aruna had she run in the Ladies' Classic – to ride It's Tricky in that race. A field of nine is expected for the Ladies' Classic, including Ask the Moon, Plum Pretty, Super Espresso and Ultra Blend.
