Second last out in the G1 American Pharoah Stakes, juvenile American Theorem has officially been taken out of consideration for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. According to drf.com, trainer George Papaprodromou made the decision to skip the race on Saturday morning.
“I don't feel my horse is 100 percent,” Papaprodromou said. “I don't want to run against the best in the world if he's not. I want to do the right thing, not push him.”
Instead, the son of champion American Pharoah will be aimed at the 2020 Kentucky Derby, with another start later this season not ruled out.
