The first winner at stud for Ramsey Farm's We Miss Artie came on June 7, when Henry the Pirate took a maiden race at Hipódromo de las Américas in Mexico by 7 1/4 lengths, BloodHorse reports.

Henry the Pirate, an Ontario-bred colt out of the winning Touch Gold mare Reggae Rose, is a half-brother to Grade 3 winner Shakhimat.

We Miss Artie, an 8-year-old son of Artie Schiller, won four of 11 starts during his on-track career for earnings of $738,843. His wins of note include the Grade 1 Breeders' Futurity, G3 Spiral Stakes, and non-graded Plate Trial Stakes.

He began his stallion career in his native Ontario at Colebrook Farm Stallion Station, where he resided until the 2018 breeding season when he was moved to Ramsey Farm in Nicholasville, Ky. He stands for an advertised fee of $5,000.
