Thiskyhasnolimit, who was vanned off due to an injury in Saturday's Mineshaft Handicap at Fair Grounds, has been retired from racing and undergone surgery on a fractured right front fetlock.  The five-year-old son of Sky Mesa finishes his career for trainer Steve Asmussen with six wins from 20 starts, including victories in the 2009 Iroquois Stakes at Churchill Downs and this year's Louisiana Handicap.

“He's being a very good patient,” Asmussen told the Daily Racing Form Monday. “We're cautiously optimistic.”
