Victor Espinoza celebrates California Chrome's Kentucky Derby victory

Taylor Made Farm in Nicholasville, Ky., has purchased Steve Coburn's minority share in 2014 Horse of the Year California Chrome, according to a report in the Daily Racing Form.

The Daily Racing Form reports that California Chrome, who is currently stabled at Arlington Park, will ship to Kentucky later this week to recuperate at Taylor Made. The 4-year-old colt was diagnosed with a bruised cannon bone last weekend. The injury will require 90 days rest.

Steve Coburn and majority owner Perry Martin bred California Chrome, and have owned him throughout his career

Trainer Art Sherman told the DRF that there is a possibility that California Chrome could race again in 2016.

Sherman said that California Chrome will either enter stud in 2016, or could be returned to racing. California Chrome has won 9 of 18 starts and earned $6,322,650.

Do you think California Chrome will ever race again?
