Rockridge Stud in Hudson, N.Y., revealed its advertised fees for the 2019 breeding season, led by newcomer Frank Conversation at $5,000.
Frank Conversation, a 5-year-old son of Quality Road, retired to Rockridge Stud with wins in the Grade 2 Twilight Derby at Santa Anita Park and the G3 El Camino Real Derby at Golden Gate Fields. He placed in five additional graded stakes races.
Frank Conversation is out of the stakes-placed Unusual Heat mare Rushen Heat, who is herself a full sister to G1 winners Unusual Suspect and Golden Doc A.
In addition to his “stands and nurses” fee, Frank Conversation will be offered under a “Share the Upside” rate of $6,500.
Honorable Dillon and Micromanage will each stand for $4,000.
Honorable Dillon, an 8-year-old Tapit horse, has his first crop of runners on the track in 2018, and he sits tied for the most winners by a New York freshman sire this year, with eight. The first crop by Mircomanage, an 8-year-old son of Medaglia d'Oro, are yearlings of this year.
Also standing at Rockridge Stud are Japanese import A Shin Forward (by Forest Wildcat), and veteran Giant Surprise (by Giant's Causeway), who are each advertised at $3,500.
Soaring Empire, who would have been entering his seventh season at stud in 2019, was recently euthanized.
