Flat Out Gittin It, a stakes-placed 4-year-old filly by Flat Out, is in foal with her first pregnancy. Boarded at Chesapeake Farm in Lexington, Ky., she was bred on Spendthrift's “Share The Upside” program. Flat Out Gittin It was stakes-placed in her third start as a 2-year-old, and she's out of the multiple stakes-winning and stakes-producing mare Follow the Lite.
Campaigned by Klaravich Stables and William Lawrence, Cloud Computing captured his six-furlong debut at Aqueduct and jumped straight onto the 2017 Triple Crown Trail, finishing runner-up in the Grade 3 Gotham Stakes just three weeks later. In his next start, he rallied to be third in the G2 Wood Memorial.
Trainer Chad Brown pointed Cloud Computing to the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico, and the dark bay colt rewarded his connections with their first classic victory, running down 2-year-old champion Classic Empire to score the monumental win.
Cloud Computing retired with earnings of $1,125,200, becoming the first classic winner to enter stud at Spendthrift since Affirmed. He's standing his first season for $7,500 S&N.
