As the UAE racing season kickoff approaches with haste on October 24, the Racing in Dubai September 2019 Sale is set for Monday, September 16. The sale will take place within the Saddling Enclosure of Meydan Racecourse at 6:45 p.m. Viewing of the 60 lots will take place September 14 and 15, from 7:30-9:00 a.m. and 4:00-5:30 p.m. on each day, at Meydan Quarantine (NOFA Stables).
Past graduates of the Racing in Dubai Sale include recent Dubai World Cup Carnival winners Raven's Corner and Drafted, as well as Group 1-winning Dubai World Cup runner North America. This year, potential and pedigree will be up for acquisition, including Corsen, a 100-rated Listed-placed 4-year-old gelded son of Cape Cross, Laieth, a 93-rated DWC Carnival-placed 4-year-old gelded son of Dubawi, and blueblood Loughmore, a lightly raced 3-year-old colt by Shamardal out of Irish Oaks winner Lailani.
Several lots already have the minimal rating of 90 required to contest the DWC Carnival, including Listed-placed Drummore (Dubawi) and three-time winner Hishikari (Medaglia d'Oro), who hails from the immediate family of Grade 1 winners Frosted and Midshipman. Other global star stallions with progeny in the sale include Kingman, Sea the Stars, Kitten's Joy, Exceed and Excel, Speightstown, Exchange Rate and Nathaniel, the sire of Enable.
All horses are to be collected on Tuesday, September 17, between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. from Meydan Quarantine (NOFA Stables) with appropriate transport.
Prospective purchasers can view the full list of 60 lots and obtain further information via the Emirates Racing Authority website, www.emiratesracing.com, or register for the sale by contacting Syed Ashraf (see below). For more information:
