Resurgent owner Peter Brant went to €1.25 million (about US$1.38 million) on the 10-year-old broodmare Unaided at the Arqana Breeding Stock sale this week, reports the Racing Post. The mare is the dam of Breeders' Cup Mile winner Uni, and is currently in foal to No Nay Never.
“Nothing has been decided yet,” agent Michel Zerolo told the Racing Post. “There are a number of options; she could stay in France or she could go to Ireland or to England. She will go to Haras des Capucines for the moment and then we'll see.”
Also at the Arqana sale, Brant purchased the 3-year-old filly Eliade for €520,000 (about US$575,000). The listed stakes-winning daughter of Teofilo will head to the barn of trainer Chad Brown to continue her racing career in the United States.
