Two of California's leading stallion operations will host open houses on Saturday, Jan. 25: Harris Farms in Coalinga, and Rancho San Miguel in San Miguel.
Harris Farms will host their 2020 open house and stallion show from 10 a.m. to noon.
All of the farm's stallions will be available for viewing including new for 2020: Conquest Farenheit, Om, and Rousing Sermon. Joining an already impressive lineup: Acclamation, Desert Code, Jeranimo, Lakerville, Majestic Harbor, Prospect Park, Smiling Tiger, Tamarando, and Vronsky.
Tom and Nancy Clark's Rancho San Miguel has scheduled its open house from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All of the farm's stallions will be available for viewing, and new general manager Dennis Yokum and other farm personnel will be available for introductions and answer questions, as will Sir Prancealot and Danzing Candy syndicates manager, Adrian Gonzalez.
The following stallions will be available for inspection:
Curlin to Mischief — A half-brother to Into Mischief, Beholder, and Mendelssohn. His first foals are 3-year-olds of 2020.
Danzing Candy — Multiple Grade 2 winner by Twirling Candy. He bred 244 mares in his first two years at stud.
Golden Balls — Grade 3-placed listed stakes winner at three by top sire Danehill Dancer.
Northern Causeway — Grade 3 winner by top sire of sires Giant's Causeway.
Richard's Kid — Multiple Grade 1 winner had three allowance winners in the first 12 days of 2020.
Sir Prancealot — Sire sensation in North America based on first 14 starters.
Slew's Tiznow — Had his best year yet in 2019: Four stakes winners at four different tracks.
Tom's Tribute — Grade 1 winner and top miler by Lion Heart. His first foals are 3-year-olds
U S Ranger — A son of Danzig who has produced multiple graded stakes winners.
