Ocala Stud announced Monday that its first-year stallions The Big Beast and I Spent It both had their first respective mares confirmed in foal over the weekend.
The Big Beast, a Grade 1-winning 3-year-old and top sprinter by Yes It's True, covered the Proud Citizen mare Western Tornado, who has been pronounced in foal with a heartbeat. The Big Beast is standing his first season for $6,000 S&N.
I Spent It, the Saratoga Special (G2) winner at two from the first crop of Super Saver, covered the multiple stakes-winning mare Silent Serenade among his initial group of mares bred, and she too has been pronounced in foal with a heartbeat. I Spent It stands for $3,000 S&N in his debut year in the breeding shed.
