On the eve of the 2019 sale, OBS April graduates hit the headlines when Wonder Gadot and Starship Jubilee collected Sovereign Awards as 2018 Canadian champions.

Gary Barber's Wonder Gadot is Canada's Horse of the Year and champion 3-year-old female after winning the Queen's Plate and Prince of Wales Stakes, the first two legs of Canada's Triple Crown, against males. She also placed in four graded stakes including a second place finish in the Kentucky Oaks. To date, she has compiled an 18-5-5-4 career record for trainer Mark Casse, and earned $1,524,861. The now 4-year-old daughter of Medaglia d'Oro was purchased for $325,000 out of the Eisaman Equine consignment at the 2017 April Sale after turning in an under-tack eighth in :10 2/5.

Blue Heaven Farm's Starship Jubilee is Canada's champion female turf horse after winning three of eight starts including the Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf Stakes at Gulfstream and Woodbine's Grade 2 Canadian Stakes. Trained by Kevin Attard, the 6-year-old multiple graded stakes winning Florida-bred daughter of Indy Wind is now 26-12-2-2 with $652,018 in earnings. A two-time OBS graduate, she was sold by The Acorn at the 2014 August Yearling Sale and then consigned by Halcyon Hammock Farm, Agent, to the 2015 April sale where she breezed an eighth in :10 2/5 at the under-tack show.

Videos from the five under-tack sessions are posted online at obssales.com as well as viewable on site via video kiosks located around the sales pavilion.
