Most of the leading economic indicators were up on the seond day of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Co.'s April sale of 2-year-olds in training, continuing what has been a promising trend of rebounding trade in the juvenile marketplace.
Topped by a Mizzen Mast colt, purchased by EQB, agent, for $240,000, Tuesday's second session of the four-day OBS sale saw an 11.2% increase in gross sales and an 8.5% rise in average price. The median was unchanged from 2010, and the buy-back rate on day two crept upward.
