It’s a girl! Pure Clan delivers healthy Bernardini filly

Multiple Grade 1 winner Pure Clan delivered a healthy filly by Bernardini on Thursday, January 10 at Three Chimneys Farm. She is scheduled to be bred to Tapit for 2013.

The mare, by Pure Prize, is best known for her wins in the American Oaks-G1 and Flower Bowl Invitational-G1. In her sixteen race career, she won eight races and retired with earnings of $1,987,489 in 2010.

Out of the General Assembly mare Gather the Clan (IRE), Pure Clan was bred in Kentucky by A. Lakin & Sons. She sold in foal to Bernardini at the 2012 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale for $4,500,000 to Borges Torrealba Holdings and is currently owned in partnership by the Borges-Torrealba family and the Clay family. She resides at Three Chimneys Farm.
